Office 365 includes the standard apps i.e., MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint along with other services namely Sharepoint, To Do, Teams, Yammer, OneDrive and Stream among others. Microsoft 365 on the other hand is a slightly more comprehensive bundle aimed towards businesses. It includes all of the applications that an Office 365 subscription would include, plus Windows 10 license and EMS (Enterprise Mobility + Security) tools. Microsoft EMS tools are inclined towards overall security, threat and information protection and access management. Some of the well-known offerings under EMS include Microsoft Intune, Azure Active Directory and Azure Advanced Threat Protection. In April 2020 however, the company rebranded its Office 365 plans to Microsoft 365, with subscriptions plans essentially remaining the same.
